Ideas stone, marble, water, leaves, flowers, striped, dotted, Easter egg, collectable tama like the 1997 china version, stars, clouds, silver, glow in the dark, flames or any other texture or scheme you like

Step One First draw the idea out on a piece of paper. Make sure you really like it because when you started you can never get the old tama back you can only let it dry and start over.
Step Two You have to clean your tamagotchi  otherwise the paint won't stick. Be very careful doing this don't use a lot of water, just tip a tissue in some soap and rub it on your tama then take it off with another tissue.
Step Three Lay out the news paper and keep the drawing of how the tama should look like close. Use the tooth pick to stir the paint. And paint a base layer in the background color. You have to let this layer dry for a few hours. You can better start with the lighter colors, because the lighter colors won't show up on darker colors. If you touch the buttons you can take of the paint with a tip of a tissue.
Step Four You can use either the tooth pick or a small paintbrush to make the design. If you scrape of the excess paint of your toothpick you can make very tiny details with it. To do bigger areas you can use the paintbrush. You can clean it after every color in turpentine. Let it dry completely and do another layer or color.
